SelectScience.net, the leading online resource for applied chemists, clinical chemists and life scientists, has announced the winners of Scientists’ Choice Awards for Best New Spectroscopy and Separations Products of 2009 at this year's Pittcon Conference and Exhibition.
The winners of the Scientists' Choice Awards were announced:
Best New Spectroscopy Product of 2009 Winner: 6430 Triple Quadrupole LC/MS System, Agilent Technologies
Best New Separations Product of 2009 Winner: Kinetex™ Core-Shell HPLC Columns, Phenomenex
The Scientists’ Choice Awards are the laboratory industry’s first awards to provide the online scientific community with a channel to celebrate new technologies. The awards were based on the results of an independent poll, where more than 20,000 scientists from the SelectScience online community were invited to nominate and vote for their favourite new products.
Kerry Parker, Editor for SelectScience, commented, "The Scientists' Choice Awards provide a unique opportunity for the online laboratory community to voice their opinion and provide feedback to manufacturers. The award highlights new products which have made a real impact in the laboratory this year."
The awards were presented at the Pittcon Conference and Exhibition in Orlando, Florida, USA. Gus Salem, VP and General Manager of the Biological Systems Division, of Agilent Technologies accepted the award for Best New Spectroscopy Product. Jason Campbell, Senior Marketing Manager, of Phenomenex accepted the award for Best New Separations Product.
